RECHARGEABLE GAMES CARD

 

1. What is the Rechargeable Games Card: The Rechargeable Games Card ("the Card") is a card that uses technology allowing it to be used with the appropriate recharge, without the need for coins, to access arcade games located in Village Cinemas. Additionally, it allows the holder to collect credits, free credits, and reward points, and to redeem points for gifts, as specified in these Terms. The issuer of the Card is Village Roadshow Operations Hellas S.A. ("Company" or "Village"), with VAT no. 094504693 and GEMI (General Commercial Registry) no. 002981201000.

 

2. These terms govern all Cards and their use in the game facilities of Village Cinemas. By purchasing, recharging, or using a Card, the holder agrees to be legally bound by these Terms as applicable at any given time. These Terms can be found at the site www.villagecinemas.gr, in section "Experiences" -> "ARCADE GAMES". [Each Card also contains a link to these Terms].

 

3. Card Ownership
   • The Card is anonymous, freely transferable, and non-personal. The holder ("Holder") has full responsibility for its use.
   • A Cardholder must be at least 15 years old (minors need parental or guardian consent). Minors under 15 can use the Card only with their parent or guardian, and the Card is issued only to the parent/guardian.
   • Since the Card is anonymous, in case of loss or theft, it cannot be reissued with the credits it had before it was lost or stolen, nor can a refund or replacement of its value be requested.

 

4. Use of the Card
   • General: The Card is a rechargeable participation card for arcade games located in Village Cinemas, allowing the Holder to load monetary value onto their Card, which is converted into credits ("Credits") and free credits ("Bonus Credits") for use exclusively on arcade machines in Village Cinemas. The number of Bonus Credits increases according to the value of the points package purchased. The Holder can play any arcade game participating in the Village Cinemas program using their credits and can earn special gift coupons ("Games Tickets") by playing. Games Tickets can be redeemed for gifts from those available at the specific Village Cinema at the time of redemption.
   • Refunds: The Holder is entitled to request a refund for the Credits of the last transaction if no Credit has been used. Otherwise, the Holder can request a refund for the remaining credits only if they return the Card. In such a case, Bonus Credits and Games Tickets will be reset.
   • Game costs, exchange rates, and rewards: The cost of participating (and rewards) for each arcade game may vary and is clearly displayed on the card readers of each arcade game participating in the Card program. The Company reserves the right to modify the number of credits and rewards for each arcade game at any time, as well as to unilaterally change the money-to-credits exchange rate during the Card program. The new exchange rate will apply to recharges made after the change.
   • Acquisition and recharge: The Card is provided free of charge, and recharges can be made with cash or debit/credit card. Τhe Card is issued and recharged through kiosks, which do not give change.
   • Arcade machines accepting the Card: The Card can only be used on arcade machines in Village Cinemas that display participation in the Card program. Village Cinemas reserves the right to add or remove arcade machines and games that accept the Card.
   • Credits specifics: The credits a Holder is entitled to after each participation in a game are immediately recorded on the Card upon the game's completion. Using kiosks, the Cardholder can check at any time the total number of credits (Credits) and points (Games Tickets) accumulated on their Card. After each transaction (Card recharge), the Holder must verify the accuracy of these details. The Card's credits can be used on arcade machines in any Village Cinema that accepts the Card, for one year from the date of the Card's recharge. After one year, unused credits and bonus credits will be automatically deleted. When "Insufficient Credits" appears on the card reader of a game, it means the game requires more credits than those remaining on the Card, and the Card must be recharged. However, the Card may still have enough credits for another game requiring fewer credits.
   • Games Tickets specifics: Reward points (Games Tickets) vary per game. Village Cinemas reserves the right to change the allocation of Games Tickets per game. The Games Tickets for each game are clearly displayed on participating arcade machines. Once sufficient Games Tickets are accumulated, the Holder can redeem them for gifts available at Village Cinemas. Gifts are acquired only by collecting the number of Games Tickets set by Village. When the Holder redeems their Games Tickets for a gift, the corresponding number of Games Tickets is deducted from their Card. Depending on the value of the gift and its availability, the Holder may not have enough Games Tickets to redeem a gift. In such cases, Village may allow the Holder to select an available item equal to or less than their remaining points, or save their remaining points for a future visit. Gifts cannot be exchanged for other gifts, money, or any other items. Village reserves the right to delete all Games Tickets from Cards for which no redemption has occurred for 36 months.
   • Card non-compliance: If credits or points have been obtained on the Card in a manner not compliant with the process set out in these Terms, or if any tampering with the Card or its technology has occurred to alter the correct storage of data, Village may cancel the credits, points, and Card at its discretion without prior notice.
   • Disputes: In case of any questions about transaction history or disputes over any transaction or a request to correct an obvious error, the Holder must contact Village. Village will investigate and correct any error or provide an explanation. Village is not liable for any error unless notified within sixty (60) days of the transaction date in question.
   • Malfunctions: Credits and Games Tickets are awarded for each completed game, provided that both the Card and the arcade machine/game operate according to Village's specifications. Village reserves the right not to accept or to remove credits and Games Tickets from Cards, arcade machines, or games that do not function according to Village's specifications or have been damaged.

 

5. Miscellaneous
   • The Company (and its affiliates or related entities or their employees or management) is not liable to the Holder or any third party in case of theft, destruction, or loss of the Card.
   • In case of demagnetization or other technical damage to the Card, the Holder must notify Village to issue a new card within 5 business days, and, if technically possible, the existing credits and unused Games Tickets will be transferred to the new card.
   • Village may cancel Cards that are inactive for more than one year from the last recharge or redemption of credits.
   • Village reserves the right to cancel the entire Card program at its discretion. In such a case, Village will announce the program's cancellation through any appropriate means.
   • The Cards are anonymous. Village does not collect, access, process, or store the personal data of Cardholders.
   • These Terms, the use of the Cards, and any matter arising from them are governed solely by Greek law, and any disputes are referred exclusively to the courts of Athens.
